Support ABL-SF's Youth Programs

Donate today to help raise $25,000 for our annual fund!
The mission of the Asian Business League of San Francisco's Youth Program is to empower youths to make informed career decisions and to encourage early planning and preparation for their careers. One of the most pressing needs for youths is to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace, and we address this need in multiple ways. In the last 2 years we have served over 250 San Francisco youths through our career day panels, office visits, start-up boot camps, and most recently our resume and mock interview workshops. Our goal is to raise $100 per student and we are asking you for your support to help us continue with these programs.
Here's a look at youth events we have organized:
1. Career Day: Our third annual career panel is scheduled for February 17, 2017at Salesforce
A free career day panel will be offered for San Francisco high school and college students, giving them a chance to hear from people representing 6 different professions. Partners include Chinatown YMCA and Vietnamese Youth Development Center. Previous participating professionals highlighted in the past include a hardware engineer from Google, police officer, the current Assessor-Recorder Carmen Chu, a news anchor, a nurse, and video game entrepreneur.
2. Office Workplace Visits
Each summer, ABL-SF organizes a series of work site visits during which students have the opportunity to learn about and see first-hand how businesses operate. Previous office visits have included Wells Fargo, PG&E, City Hall and video game start-up, Pocket Gems.

"I interviewed 2 teens for our teen employment program and they did exactly the things they learned from the resume and interview workshop. They shook hands confidently, one did the power pose in the bathroom, and even sent a letter to thank me for the interview! It was a really special night and I know they will take what they learned a long way. Thank you again ABL!"
