ABL's Youth Program was initiated in 1999 as an outreach to future business leaders in the Asian American Community. It is a way to transfer the collective experiences of today's business leaders to the next generation. The program consists of sessions with small groups of high school students each led by a business professional provided by ABL-SF. The speaker provides a presentation about his/her careers in front of our youth group. Today, we continue this service in partnership with the Chinatown YMCA. Coordinators: Ken Lam and Luen Lam Dates: 1st Friday of every month. Session: Mentors lead a 30 - 45 minute discussion of their career and career path and the skills to achieve success in that profession. The sessions are interactive and students are encouraged to participate and ask questions. Become a Mentor!! Our mentor network offers members an opportunity to give back to our community by sharing their experiences. We also strive to identify the interests of the students with the backgrounds of our speakers. In the past, we have had speakers in the following industries and their respective companies: Information Technology (Dell), Consulting (Deloitte & Touché), Criminal Justice (SF Sheriff's Department), Financial (First Republic Bank, Metlife), Law, and Medicine. We welcome mentors from all backgrounds to join our Mentor Network!! For further details, please contact our office at 415.788.4664.
