“The Road to Entrepreneurship for Asian Americans – Pathway to Success, or Obstacles to Overcome?”

Thursday, October 20, 2011
5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
DLA Piper, 555 Mission Street, 24th Floor, San Francisco

Presented by the Asian Business League of San Francisco (ABL-SF)

If you haven’t already done so, many of us have thought of launching one’s own business so as to become that successful entrepreneur of our dreams. Of course, most of us realize the many daunting obstacles that must be overcome to reach that pinnacle of success, but in addition to those concerns faced by all who try, there are certain challenges particular to Asian Americans. Did you know that —
*Being Asian American can be an advantage for success in some industries and professions, while posing as a hurdle to overcome in others?
*Cultural aspects of being Asian American can affect how you should go about that entrepreneurship? *Many useful resources are available for the entrepreneur, including those earmarked for Asian Americans? If any of the above are of interest, this upcoming panel discussion is for you!
